The course is delivered entirely online via e-learning, recorded videos, links and downloadable tools and activities. In addition, you can attend optional periodic online group chat sessions hosted by Australian Industry experienced trainers and assessors.
There are no general entry requirements for this Software Development course. In order to succeed in our online qualifications, our students are required to:
• Be 18 years or older at the time of registration
• Demonstrate the required level of competency in English language, literacy and numeracy skills
The required level of competency in English language, literacy and numeracy skills for Diploma and Certificate IV qualifications is ACSF Level 3.
To ensure you have the ACSF skills necessary to commence study with us, you may be required to completed a language, literacy and numeracy test if English is not your first language and you do not hold any nationally recognised Australian qualifications.
While there is no formal prerequisite study required to enter this qualification, it is beneficial for students to have some relevant industry experience to assist with the learning application required for this course.
The Tuition Fee is AUD $6,000 (GST exempt).

Option 1 is recommended for students who expect to complete more rapidly than the allowed duration, as course access is progressively opened up in line with tuition payments received.

If you have existing relevant skills you may be able to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This may allow you to gain credit for some units in the course, reducing the amount of assessment required and/or potentially lowering the course cost.
If you believe you are eligible for RPL, please forward a detailed resume to diploma@eightfold.edu.au. A trainer will then contact you to determine which units you may be able to apply for, what evidence will be required, and what the amended tuition fee will be.
